A Kill Action in Mafia is a Night action carried out by a role that will, without intervention, remove a player from the game. A kill action is often held by a member of the goodie faction and varies from the baddie Night Kill in several key ways.
- In most cases the Night Kill is an unblockable group action (host-dependent), while a normal kill action is subject to any kind of block.
- While the Night Kill is typically discussed and agreed upon in BTSC, the normal kill action usually has no such advantage and risks the possibility of friendly fire.
- A kill action in the hands of a true Indy, depending on his WinCon, might or might not be used frequently.
- While the Night Kill might be stopped by a save, a kill that targets a known baddie is much less likely to be saved.
Tips for Killing:
- When uninformed and in the minority, a good strategy involves not killing without good cause. Typically holding the action Night 1 and usually Night 2 is important.
- As a true Indy, killing wildly early can also lead to a quick demise. By waiting, you give yourself more time to collect information and keep a larger number of players alive, thus reducing your chance of being a target of the Baddie Night Kill.
